Our center has provided exceptional care and education of young
children for over 20 years. Child Care Plus is a division
of the Rita Beaulieu Center and offers programs for toddlers,
preschoolers, and pre-k levels, as well as before- and
after-school programs which include transportation to and from
school for kindergarteners and school-age
children. Open year round, the Center offers
above-standard teacher/child ratios and a caring and experienced
staff. The facility is also protected by a high-tech video
security system.

To combat obesity
in young children, Child Care Plus Learning Center is taking
positive steps by incorporating more physical activity and
healthy snacks into their daily routine.
Child Care Plus
staff members recently took part in an all day workshop
called "I am Moving, I am Learning." Our staff took
this information back to the center and implemented it into
their curriculum for the New Year. Every day, the
students participate in an early morning physical activity
using our indoor gymnasium. The children run through a
course of obstacles, which change daily. A circuit
course may include running through cones, jumping on the
trampoline, balancing on a beam, and then crawling through a
tunnel. The goal is to get the heart pumping while
having fun with the benefits of getting fit in the process!
Along with extra
physical activity, Child Care Plus has revamped our snack
menu by adding more fruits and vegetables. Each month,
the teachers introduce a different fruit or vegetable that
children may not have tried in thier early life.
Parents are kept informed on what their children are
learning through our monthly newsletters. Helpful
handouts are also attached to our newsletters on how to keep
the family healthy as a whole.
